Real Estate Tips:
Sometimes the best investment is your own venture. If you are not comfortable with the world of finance and big spenders, then invest in something like real estate that you can improve and resell. This is especially wise if you have skills that are needed to improve a property to increase it's resale value. Diversify your portfolio as much as possible. You do not want to have all of your investment funds in only one type of investment. Spread them out over stocks, real estate, and other investments in order to protect yourself should something bad happen in one area of the investment market.

For state #5 in our “50 States in a Year” series, we’re in the Mountain State! West Virginia is one of those states that tends to get overlooked. Most people don’t even realize all that this beautiful state has to offer. Being the most mountainous state in the US and having 78% of its landmass covered in forest, West Virginia is the outdoor enthusiasts dream! We started our trip at Winterplace Ski Resort where we spent the morning learning to snowboard at their renowned ski and snowboard school before working our way north through the nations newest National Park, New River Gorge National Park and saw the longest steel arch bridge in the US! We then headed to the state capital of Charleston where we had one of the best meals of our lives at 1010 Bridge! Needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised with how much we fell in love with West Virginia after our winter wonderland visit!

    1. Don't worry Nat, I wore a wig to snow tube in Snoqualmie, WA. It fell off on the ride! 😆

    2. Me and my family are moving to a farm in wolfcreek WV, West Virginia is literally the most beautiful place I have ever been to! They don’t joke around when they call it the mountain state there is literally no place in West Virginia where there’s not a mountain

    3. Love your channel!! Because of this video me and my best friend traveled to Charleston West Virginia this week on vacation and loved it!! We ate at 1010 bridge restaurant and stayed at 4 points hotel and saw some live music right in front of the hotel!! We loved it!!! Thank you for the recommendations!!

    4. Home Sweet Home! Y’all drove right by our house while out exploring. And, The Dish…that pasta is my favorite! Thanks for the lovely video…WV is beautiful❣️

    5. Great video. When I think of WV, I think of it as a great hiking and biking destination. So obviously, a great summer place. I never knew it was also such a beautiful place for a winter vacation, too. Thanks for letting me see WV is a whole new way. Your videos are awesome.

    6. Beautiful! Looked up those cabins, a tad expensive but gorgeous! We love West Virginia! I'm not a big snow lover so will go again when weather is nicer. : ) I get why you put on false eyelashes, you're on camera! Funny!

    7. An hour from my house… I tend to always eat at pies and pints when I go to Charleston

    8. Going back and watching some older videos. We love to ski. Bill snowboards and I ski. I could never get the snowboard. Bill, just I swear was going down black run our 2nd day, haha We have been doing it for 7 years now and have our own stuff and try to go somewhere every year. We have a 2-week trip planned next year in Steamboat Springs Colorado. We live north of Birmingham Alabama and just drove up to Beech Mountian North Carolina this past year for a few days.

    9. I totally live in a good thirty minutes away from Winter Place. Hahaha.

You two are the coolest. And also, #couplegoals.

P.S. Next time you come through, you have to sign up to walk on the cat walk under the Gorge. AHHH!
